Prediabetes – English – Dr. Anup, MD Teaches Series .

Prediabetes is when your blood sugar is not low enough for it to be called normal but also not as high that it can be called diabetes.

Prediabetes is a golden opportunity to prevent diabetes and more importantly its related complications from occurring.

Note that many who were labeled as prediabetics just 15 years ago were later labeled as diabetics. Why this happened. Can this happen to you in the future if you have prediabetes now?

Also, is diabetes curable? What is your definition of cure? Why companies claim they have a cure for diabetes? Why do they get away with this legally? All this is explained.

Dental Hygienist program.?

Do I have any chances of getting into a Dental Hygienist program with a 2.5 GPA?

It totally depends on where you want to go to school. I am a hygienist in Michigan, and here you can get either an Associate’s degree (usually from a community college) or a Bachelor’s degree to become a hygienist. I don’t think you would get into where I went with that GPA but I don’t know about community colleges. Hope it helps.

Help with a cover letter for a receptionist at a dental office?

I want this job soo soo bad, it would help out in many many situations.
anyway, i found this dental office that is hiring, however i dont have a cover letter, nor have i ever, just a resume, my resume is good. but i would like to include a cover letter, i have 5 years experience working for a mortgage company, clerical type position
and i am now working as a clinic assistant at a hospical,
reception type stuff.
so i think i qualify, but how can i get a cover letter in order?

please help

www.google.com type in sample cover letters, you will find many different formats, just pick one that looks good and simple. Just start by saying where you heard about the job, how you are qualified and look forward to receiving more info about the position. Thanks them for thier time and look forward to meeting with them.. a little more professional than that, but thats the jist of it.

Registerned Nurse or Dental Hygienist?

I am a junior in high school, and trying to think about what career to pursue. I have been to the Occupation Outlook Handbook website and I know the salaries about about the same, with dental hygienists median salary being a little higher. Basically, what are the pros and cons of each job, and how can I decide? OOH says the dental hygienist occupation is expected to grow faster than average with tough competition in some areas, but I have read online that many dental hygienists are struggling to find work and decent hours. Also, is there room for salary and position growth in the dental hygienist occupation? I know there is in nursing. I have also read that there is bad health coverage/insurance for dental hygienists. Is this true? Thanks for any help! I have a lot of questions =).

Go for Nursing. They make great money, are always in demand (think about how many are employed in just one hospital), and have more opportunities available to them. The market for Dental Hygiene is flooded right now and there not really any advancement opportunities. Plus they are limited on where they can work – only in dentist’s offices, where there are typically 4-8 hygienists based on the size of the office. Yes, the salary is good for DH, but only if you can find a full-time job. My best friend graduated from DH last May & still does not have a full-time job. The only thing she has managed to find is a temporary position for a woman who’s out on maternity leave.

Removing Braces at another Clinic? UK?

Hi there,
I’ve had fixed braces for about 20 months & wanna get them removed.
I would like to continue my treatment, but I can’t get to the town where my original orthodontist is because of panic attacks on public transport (it’s a 2 hour journey!) and certain people in the area, so no chance of that.
I’m over 18 and the treatment was paid for privately. I wondered if I can get reffered to another nhs/private clinic and get them removed free of charge? If not how much would it cost? My mum says a normal dentist might be able to remove them, is this true? Because I would have thought the cement needs certain stuff to remove it?

Any dentists/dental nurses able to give advice? Thanks :)

To be honest I do not think that another Orthodontist would remove the braces for you as the treatment wasn’t originally started with them and they have no idea of your previous dental history
A regular dentist would not be able to remove them for you either as he/she has not trained in this particular field of dentistry.
The only thing I can suggest is contacting your previous orthodontist and explaining your situation to them, they might be sympathetic and be able to offer some assistance.

What is the salary of a Dental Co-ordinator or Assistant?

Christy ,lol!
i’m sure it isnt that bad

It soooo depends!

Education, certification, licensure, years in field, years at present office, cross-trained, etc……

In my area, entry-level assistants earn $11-$14 an hour, and that’s with a state-approved class…. and it increases from there.
