   Good luck!!! It’s a really good carrer to go for, but most of the time dentist do the prophy’s and they are too cheap to hire RDH. And and if they hire a hygienist it would probably be once a week or twice a week. oh yeah about a demanding boss yeap it’s true! most of the dentist that hire hygienest or RDA’s are always so rude and mean they don’t care who you are or what you do!…..

   im planning on persuing a career as a dental hygienist. is it a good or bad career? Im worried that I might not be able to find a job, yet in the univeristy brochures, they say that the industry is in high demand for these people.

   It’s all fun and …
   It’s all fun and exciting in school, until you’re stuck with a demanding boss and constant back/neck/wrist pain. And since there are barely any job openings for RDH available, you’re forced to put on your “it could be a lot worse” face and cope with it while your boss does whatever he wants cuz he knows that he can replace you in a heartbeat. Don’t mean to be all dreary, but that’s the reality of it. They don’t appreciate the vigorous curriculum we go through to become dental hygienists.

    this was really cute. the pt is probably her boyfriend. we use way more barriers for infection control…not really like a real office.
