Hi, I am a dental hygienist and looking to move to dallas.?

Can anybody advise me of the salaries for dental hygienists in Dallas or the surrounding areas. In New York salary is around $35 per hour.

According to this page: http://www.citytowninfo.com/employment/dental-hygienists the avg salary for dental hygienists in dallas is about $71,000 (2005 numbers)

Cost of living is MUCH lower than New York.

  5. You won’t make $35/hr. More like $45-55K/year. But you have to keep in mind that you can rent a great apartment in this area for less than $1K/month or buy a house for $200K or less. The cost of living difference is substantial and is evident in everything from rent, to groceries, to gas.

  7. LOL you’re not going to get that here. Expect a 30-40% pay cut. Even though Texas has no state tax you won’t miss much.
