How long is the Dental Hygienist program in the Navy Reserves and will the training qualify me for a civilian

job? or would i need to go to a Dental hygienist school once out?

no, you would still need to be state certified. depending on the state, they may only require you to take the test, or they may make you get the training as well.

There are things you will be permitted to do as an HM that any civilian would not be permitted to do.

The Navy doesn’t have a entry level Dental hygienist Rating.

You would have to enlist as a dental technician. (DT)

And then later on, go to a C School for dental hygeinist

The A school, would not meet the requirements for any state, to be a dental hygienist.

    The C school would,

But you would still have to take the state dental hygienist test.

    …………………………………………………………………………………………

The chances of getting into the C School during your fist enlistment are small, unless you enlist for 6 years.
